Two panels are presented on the application’s interface: the one at the top lists all your physical drives; the one at the bottom lists all your logical drives. These two panels cover the following info: model number, serial number, storage capacity, SMART status, file system, total space, free space. Highlight a physical drive, click a button, and you will get to see that drive’s SMART data. Highlight a physical drive, click a button, and you will be presented with a dialog that allows you to run several tests: quick test, extended test, write zeros. A detailed presentation of all these tests is presented in the Help menu. Click the Help button from the upper right hand corner of the interface and you will be presented with a dialog that explains what Data Lifeguard Diagnostic can do. Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for Windows is free software. Use Data Lifeguard Diagnostic to access SMART data and to perform tests on your drives – your internal or external Western Digital (WD) drives!
